FIVE!  FIVE DRINKALONGS!  Holy hell, that’s a lot of drinking, guys.  A LOT.

I don’t know what to say that I haven’t already.  Tonight I get to rant about elves at Helm’s Deep, but that’s not really a whole lot to look forward to.  >.<

  1. I’m going to have to host a dinner and a movie drinking game sometime. I’ve got the boxed set.. Maybe it should be a full weekend thing. Not sure I’d survive it though.

Hope you have a big bottle of aspirin waiting.

    • Oh, definitely! I take two aspirin with a full glass of water before I go to bed after each one of these.

I wouldn’t recommend doing all of these over a weekend, your liver would revolt!

  2. I have out of town company tonight, so I might not be able to play…. we’ll see. If not, I will be missing your guys.

  3. Thank you for posting the new/extend scenes. I’m sure I’ll get lost again like last week. Hahaha!

  4. I hate to jump on this company-from-out-of-town bandwagon, but, as the out-of-town company, I got invited to dinner, beers, and board games at the home of some long lost friends, so I won’t be able to participate this evening. :(
Here are some notes for this session, though:

    - When the orcs first show up at Helm’s Deep and they use big cat growls for orc voice sound effects, that should be worth a drink.

    - My favorite action sequence in any films is the one immediately following the not-in-the-book dwarf-tossing scene where Aragorn and Gimli kick all the orcs off the bridge in front of the gate. It just looks cool.

    - I always get a little choked up when Gandalf rides in with Eomer and all his troops to save the day. PJ screwed up a lot of other stuff, but the imagery for that scene was amazing.

I’ll try to tweet a few memes before I head over to my friends’ house unless someone else wants to be the keeper of LotR memes. It’s an important job with lots of responsibility, and it is not to be taken lightly.

  5. Shouldn’t this be called ‘Puttin’ the Grog in the blog about the Balrog’?
I am not pressuring you, but I think maybe I am now posting novel chapters that you did not get the free preview of, and I hate to mention this but I need your opinion because that is what you do… you read words… strung together by various people, and tell us why we should… or shouldn’t read those same words… so there you go…
