Your dad has the perfect look on his face and body language for this situation. He is ready to follow on the adventure, or get silly, but he is also ready to catch the kid if anything goes wrong. Awesome.
This was a few years ago, but it’s one of my favourite pictures of my dad ever, and my all time favourite of the two of them. It seemed appropriate for his birthday (because even if he doesn’t read my blog, I don’t know that he’d want me to put up my VERY FAVOURITE picture of him on his high school graduation day).
It’s sweet how their stances almost totally match. The way he’s looking at your son, it’s almost like your dad is consciously trying to match his grandson’s walk — like they’re playing Simon Says. And the little guy looks as if he’s busy thinking up his next move ^_^
This one is ALWAYS in the lead. He was only about two and a half here, it’s even worse now that he’s almost six. He’s definitely the bossiest of our kids.
